GHOST CITY

The big city

When there’s lack of light

Spreads out its tricks

Streets are full of life

Traffic lights

Lighting up the avenue

No one you know

No one that knows you

Just strangers

Passing by your side

Smiling faces

You would never trust

You’re lucky honey

You live so far from that

In your ghost city

Empty is the night

Run of the mill families

Miss their little dears

They kiss and... cheers!

And save for a while the tears

Meals are tasty and pleasant

Makes you wish to return

They look at you kindly

Even when you’re misplaced

You’re lucky honey

They’ve run out of love

In your ghost city

You sigh and write this song

BURNING

Since I cry

You cry for me

And since you cry

I cry for you

Take my boat

To a foreign land

Where I can hide

From you

Take the storm

To be your sweet friend

Then you can hide

From me

The garden burns

Outside the door

So we can dance

All around

I give my luck

To your smile

To meet the sun

In the sky

Try to understand me now I’m burning

Let’s celebrate the time we spent together

And the flames I’ve promised to keep

Dancing in the fire

WE FALL DOWN

We fall down, easily

We fall down, calmly

And now you’ve gone

And now you’re gone

The sky is beating

How I wish our love

Could live forever

HOLY RIGHT

You can walk upon the sea

Fly away with no wings

Make a cloud rain

Make the sun shine

Ah, ah, ah, ah

I can’t hardly stand it

Eternal source of wisdom thoughts

I’m unaware, you’re fully sure

Something must bring a holy right

It gives you time and wastes mine

Ah, ah, ah, ah

I can’t hardly stand it

Waiting for something to happen

While you talk and complain

Nothing depends on you

And nothing’s on my hand

RED BALLOON

I’m walking down through this lonely street

Morning sun warms my hair

There’s only one thing in my mind

A strange world is all we have

Rare whispers in a room

Used to sweep their trash into the gloom

The key’s hidden in a red balloon

All I know hides there too

The stars and the moon are shining upon the woods

There’s an owl in a branch praying to the dark

The beasts are beneath every tree

Waiting to hear you crying

Masks burning in a party hall

Disguises for the young and the old

Faces melting in a tell-tale night

Face painting all along the floor

Even the moonlight’s lying to the sea

She sees some holes inside their boats

I saw her laughing on her knees

She kept the secret and let them sink

The stars and the moon are shining upon the woods

There’s an owl in a branch praying to the dark

The beasts are beneath every tree

Waiting to hear you crying

BLAME ME

You can blame me

You can’t save me

I’m coming home to you

I’ve just realised no one can save me

I’m coming home to you

A bit weird, kind of unclear, I’m unbalanced, hard to bear

Half unconscious, dependent on tough emotions

Just remaining to bend the bell

You can trust me

You won’t crush me

I’m a clever bug

You may madden

Burn down your garden

You’ll find me there tonight

A bit weird, kind of unclear, I’m unbalanced, hard to bear

Half unconscious, dependent on tough emotions

Just remaining to bend the bell

Half a life roaming

My window’s open

Feels like my mind’s in bloom

A light that moves me

It’s burning madly

Dragging me to you

A bit weird, kind of unclear, I’m unbalanced, hard to bear

Half unconscious, dependent on tough emotions

Just remaining to bend the bell

I’m a flower

Smell my power

It’s my blossom day

My roots unsettled

Blindly dance

Round your bay

You can find me

Burning down

Don’t be shy

Could be your lover

Your witness

Your desperate desire

HOTEL BLUES

I see you

Lying

In my hotel bed

I climb the roof to see

What’s going on there

The night turns cold

I put on my coat

The stars are fine

Then you see me

You feel my pain

You shake my hand

As I look at the sky

And all my world is shivering

And I am shivering too

We hear the dogs

Howling to the moon

We’ll go for a walk

To see if we can

Change our way

When I close my eyes

You’re all I see

This won’t die

Things can change

My lover

Then I cry

My Lover

BAREFOOT, COLD BREEZE

Barefoot, cold breeze

Let my fingers crease and freeze

Move my legs

Don’t ask them to bring me anywhere

Nobody’s around

I can hear every sound

Naked in the sand

Lay my back on the ground

Barefoot, cold breeze

Bury myself at the sea

A single thought

Surrounding the scene

Throw me wherever you want

But bear in mind

You should know

Where’s the place I don’t belong

VAMPIRE NIGHTS

You and I

And them

Vampire nights

You’ve served me well

Blood in your veins won’t run no more
